Happy New Year!

We celebrated New Year's at my family's place, Gin Creek. We brought in the New Year with family and friends. Braylee did not make it until the New Year but we did a little pre-New Year celebration. We would say, "Happy New Year" and she would throw her hands up. Happy New Year baby girl!

Merry Christmas!

Braylee's Christmas loot. She had a great time. She woke up Christmas morning at 7:30am anxious to see what Santa brought. She was a good little girl this year. Her expression was priceless when she saw her toys, even though we did not get that on camera. She did not know where to start first so she grabbed a fork from her kitchen set and jumped on her 4-wheeler. Christmas has always been so much fun because our parents have gone all out since we were little but it is even better when you have a precious little one to watch.



She is so funny to watch on her 4-wheeler. She has not learned that the button makes it go and not her feet so as she pushes the button her feet start going. She will get the hang of it.

Mama Dee's Tacky Dress Christmas gathering

Every Christmas Eve our family gets together at my Grandmother's house(Mama Dee) for our family Christmas. Last year we started a new tradition of "Tacky Christmas" at Mama Dees. Everyone dresses in their tackiest Christmas gear but does not tell anyone what they are wearing. No one knows until you walk in the door. I went as me in the 5th grade, Braylee went in her PJ's(she was cute, not tacky) and Dwight was, well, lets just say he was playing for the other team that night. It was pretty funny.


My sister, Rosemary, went pregnant(we duck taped a pillow under her shirt). She made her shirt that said, " Snow Fo Sho".

Uncle Adam is Married!

Uncle Adam and Aunt Julie got married this past weekend. It was so wonderful and sweet. Everything they could have ever dreamed of on their wedding day. It was full of laughter, joy, fun, family and friends. Julie looked like a princess and all the little girls were star struck by her. Adam was the most struck by her. He talked all day about how gorgeous she is and that he was the luckiest man in the world.

Happy 2nd Birthday Cowboy Harrison!

Harrison had his 2nd Birthday party this past weekend. All of his friends and family were there to celebrate with him. He had the best time. He had pony rides, a hay ride, a walk in barn(his size) with cows outside. He got lots of presents but one of his favorites was this John Deere Gator. Braylee jumped right in and they rode off together. He would only drive it if Braylee was in the seat beside him. You could not wipe the smile off their faces. They are best friends and love each other so much.

Happy Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving at the Dempsey's. We had a great time and a house full. Below is Dwight's brother Creston, Grandmother(Mom Mom), Father(Papa G), Mother(Bobbie), then me, Dwight and Braylee.

This is Braylee's 1st time at a Japanese Steakhouse. She tried the chopsticks but decided by hand was better. I agree!

Braylee's 1st real Thanksgiving meal of turkey and dressing. She loved it! Last year she was just eating cereal for the first time so she really enjoyed herself this year.

Alpha Delta Pi 50th Celebration

Our sorority, ADPi, at VSU had their 50th celebration this past weekend. Everyone came into town for the big gathering. It was so much fun. We saw sorority sisters and others we have not seen since college. It was a wonderful weekend!
Dwight got to expereince what us ADPi's are like. He just sat back this weekend and let us do our thing. He was highly entertained.
